My Journal and Two Reports I’ve Been Able To Profit From
July 10th, 2007Here’s another screencast where you can see my StockTickr journal and a demonstration of tagging (previous screencasts can be found here and here). Tags are a very powerful feature of StockTickr and with a little creativity and thought it can really help you get a better understanding of your trading system and what makes it $tick (so to speak). In the video I demonstrate how I used it to compare my system when I trade off the 15 minute charts versus the 30 minute charts.
I also revisit the Time of Day Report that I mentioned in December where I discovered that trades I took during the hour between 11:00AM and 12:00PM EST was the only hour of the day where I actually lost money. I took a hard look at that in the first few months of this year and I’m pretty sure why it’s occurring.
There’s still a 30 day free trial to StockTickr, so you can run take it for a test drive and run these reports and others with no obligation.

Your findings regarding the post 11am trades is in line with my own stats. Pre 11am expectancy is more than 5 times greater than post 11am one which is just barely profitable.
