No Trades Today

September 10th, 2007

I had an order that didn’t get filled.  The market action wasn’t great today.  There just wasn’t much gusto behind that gap up at the open - I only had two stocks that even made the watchlist cut today and they broke down quickly.

I shut down my trading platform at 10:25AM or so - that’s the earliest I can remember giving up on a trading day.

Perhaps you found some opportunities out there today, although the pickin’s certainly seemed slim for a lot of people.

Strange, for me it was one of the best mornings in the past couple of weeks. From my gappers list APOG and JLL worked out great and I also shorted UTX as it faded the gap up and based at the lows.
The rest of the day was pretty crappy for me and I managed to cut my gains in 1/3 instead of just shutting down and enjoying the day.

@stockhunter - that’s great that you were able to find good opportunities. It’s funny how great days for some will be crappy for others and vice versa. Just goes to show that there are thousands of ways to make money in the market!

      Thanks for the comments.

[...] Only one stock made my watchlist today - IMCL.  It did a whole lot of nothing and I was stopped out at breakeven.  It’s been very slow the past couple of days, although some have been finding opportunities. [...]
