Completely Butchered a Manual Trade Today

July 24th, 2008

I made probably 3 mistakes in a single trade today. Ugh. Maybe this automated trading is making me lazy. ;-)

You know how it’s so hard to believe that we used to have to call a broker to make a trade? One day we’ll be saying the same thing about manual trading:

“That’s right, grandson - back at the turn of the century we didn’t have robots to trade for us - we actually had to point and click with a mouse and type numbers into a keyboard to make a trade - and we thought it was easy!”

Maybe Ugly already says this.

I think at least the part about pointing and clicking with the mouse will sound ancient in 5-10 years.

I think we’ve all butchered more than one trade. It’s very easy to type in the wrong number of shares or even the wrong symbol occasionally. Or maybe you accidentally BUY more shares instead of selecting SELL. :)
